This workshop has been specifically designed for advancing the skillset of the recently graduated equine practitioner. During the 10.5 hours of small group practical sessions and case discussions, attendees will be equipped with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to make the most of their abilities and ultrasound machine, in the assessment and diagnosis of frequently encountered equine musculoskeletal conditions affecting the heel region, pastern, fetlock, metacarpus/metatarsus (including suspensory apparatus, digital flexor tendons, check ligament, digital flexor tendon sheath) and stifle.
The practical and interactive 1.5-day workshop is supported by selected On-Demand Online Lectures given by specialists:

The speakers will be sharing invaluable tips/tricks and pearls of wisdom with the attendees during the 7.5 hours of practical sessions in small groups (2 – 4 vets per ultrasound machine) on live horses, and a further 3 hours of interactive case discussions. Each attendee will be able to extensively hone their practical skills at the following practical stations:
Mastering Machine Settings & Options
Superficial & Deep Digital Flexor Tendons (incl. Check Ligaments)
Suspensory Ligament (Frontlimb vs. Hindlimb)
Heel & Pastern Region
Fetlock & Digital Flexor Tendon Sheath
The Stifle: Cranial (Patellar Ligaments) & Medial Approach
The Stifle: Cranial (Articular Surface) & Lateral Approach Individual Training Consolidation – Regions chosen by Attendees
The course fee includes lunch, coffee/tea breaks, the wine & cheese reception, extensive electronic course notes and a certificate of attendance. Early course registration is recommended as there are only a limited number of places available due to the highly practical nature of this course.
