About this Event
Dissolution/Resolution addresses the tendency of some artists to create forms that dissolve and emerge simultaneously from the material, be it paint, wax, or photography. Some artists to be discussed will be Titian, Hals, Turner, Whistler, Rosso, Boznańska, Seurat, Soutine, Rivers, Auerbach, Coffey, and Sugimoto.
Robert Bunkin is a painter, curator, art historian, and educator with a BS from CUNY and an MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. He has taught art history and studio art in several NYC art schools, universities, colleges, and museums.
