Explore ways that the yoga environment can both help and hinder recovery and healing from disordered eating. For teachers and trainees.
- £50 -
Reports of significant and harmful relationships with eating have grown exponentially (globally) in the last 5 years. Local services are struggling with capacity to respond to people's needs in a timely or appropriately tailored way. More and more individuals and their families are looking for alternative ways to heal their relationship to food. Yoga is one of these.
This workshop will provide teachers with an up to date understanding of eating disorders using a trauma informed bodymind perspective - ranging from classic diagnostic categories, neurophysiology to yogic concepts. We will also explore ways that the yoga environment can both help and hinder recovery and healing.
Julia will provide resources and links to local networks that can offer additional training and support.
