Discrimination against the Roma in Central and Eastern Europe

Join us at the Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies on Friday, October 17, 2025, for a symposium that will explore the challenges faced by Roma communities in Central and Eastern Europe.
The symposium, titled «Discrimination against the Roma in Central and Eastern Europe: Antigypsyism, Political Underrepresentation, and Memory Politics,» brings together scholars and practitioners from eight different countries who will discuss various aspects of Romani collective experiences, including the persistent issue of antigypsyism, legal protection strategies, and the narratives of historical trauma.
