Everyone is welcome!Join us on Nov. 28! ORTA member, Dr. Brian Beech will provide a presentation on Forest Therapy.
Forest therapy: an introduction, history, overview and discussion of the many health and wellness benefits of connecting with nature in this manner, as well as how and where to join a walk.
In this presentation, Brian will provide an overview of what forest therapy is, how it differs from other forms of hiking and outdoor recreation, the history of how and why this practice emerged and evolved, highlights of the many health and mental heath benefits of this kind of nature connection and the growing popularity of forest therapy around the world.
About the presenter: Brian is a certified forest therapy guide (as well as a social worker and psychotherapist) and has been guiding groups locally for the past four years. Please consider attending to learn more about forest therapy (also known as Shinrin Yoku/Forest bathing) and how you can join an upcoming walk.
Discovery Night is a social evening with speakers and presentations from here at home and around the world.

Cost: $10 at the door helps to defray the cost of the hall and refreshments
