Stewarding History: ODNR’s Role in Protecting Ohio’s Cultural HeritageJoin Ohio Department of Natural Resources Historical Programs Administrator and Interpretive professional Philip Hutchison to explore ODNR’s role in preserving, protecting, and interpreting Ohio’s rich cultural heritage. This presentation will include case studies of several ODNR historical projects as well as an exploration of how nature itself is a cultural and historical asset.
Philip Hutchison is an Ohio native with deep ties to his Appalachian roots in southeast Ohio. As a Historical Resources Program Administrator at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, he is passionate about interpreting history for broad public audiences. During his tenure at ODNR, Philip has contributed to a wide range of projects, from writing interpretive copy for historical exhibits on ODNR properties to leading teams focused on major historical initiatives. He is a graduate of Ohio University, where he earned a B.A. in History and a Master of Public Administration.
