About this Event
Join us for an afternoon of community, connection and curiosity as we explore our individual death-style and map out our end-of-life plans. What's a death-style? Just like we all have our own individual lifestyle, our death-style reflects our personal wishes for our end-of-life plans. From documenting your medical preferences to what you'd like to be wearing at your final farewell, each month we'll tackle 2 new topics in a safe, friendly setting. Within a few months you'll have a comprehensive guide of your individual end-of-life plans which can foster a personal sense of peace and create the space for your loved ones to grieve your loss rather than sort through paperwork, close accounts and try to guess what type of ceremony or celebration you would have liked.
Let's face it, documenting our wishes isn't something that most people look forward to which is why gathering with like-minded people makes this unpleasant task much more appealing!
If you haven't been to a Death Network event before, we're a very friendly group of folks who are pretty passionate about lifting the taboo associated with talking about death. It's the one thing that unites us all, and gaining an understanding of death and dying can impact our daily lives in meaningful ways.
Worksheets will also be available in digital format prior to the meeting each month.
