Discover the Treasures of Historic HollywoodHastings as a Cultural Destination with Legendary Movie Memorabilia Collection
Date & Time: Tuesday, September 24 at 6:00 PM
Location: Hastings Public Library – Community Room
Join us for a special presentation featuring local collector and former educator Terry Dennison, who will share the story behind his upcoming museum, Just Off Broadway, Inc., set to open soon in Hastings, Michigan.
Dennison, a Hastings native and retired world geography teacher, has spent decades building an extraordinary collection of fine art, crystal, and rare movie memorabilia. His collection includes iconic pieces from beloved classic films such as White Christmas (1952), On the Town (1949), and Easter Parade (1948), featuring stars like Bing Crosby, Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, and Fred Astaire.
But it’s not just the legends—Dennison also shines a light on the lesser-known performers who made Hollywood golden, including Vera-Ellen, Rand Brooks, Jan Clayton, Betty Lynn, and Maria Pavan.
The future museum, located at 220 W. Colfax St., just south of downtown Hastings, promises to be a cultural destination designed to inspire curiosity and nostalgia. As Dennison puts it:
“I’ve been living Just Off Broadway for years—so the name was meant to be.”
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to get a preview of a one-of-a-kind local museum in the making!
