Join Cambrian Harp School's Musical Director, Helen-Elizabeth, along with our harp maker, Paul, and the assistant tutors from Cambrian Harp School for our Christmas Discover The Harp Course at Bishton Hall in Staffordshire.The course will commence at 10 AM and conclude by 1 PM.

Helen-Elizabeth possesses over 21 years of teaching experience and holds a BA Hons, DipABRSM, and CTABRSM qualifications. She is also the head of harp at the International School of Musicians. Many of her former students have progressed to major conservatories and prestigious institutions such as Oxford and Cambridge to pursue music and establish their own professional careers. Students from Cambrian Harp School have also achieved significant success in the Eisteddfod circuit over the years. Helen-Elizabeth studied under the renowned harp professor, David Watkins.
This course serves as a comprehensive introduction to harp playing for beginners, including your own Discovery 16 Harp (handmade in Wales), a Tuning Key, and a Course Book (pdf) to take home and keep. No previous musical experience is required. Tea and coffee will be available for purchase during the break. By the end of the morning, you will have accomplished ISoM step 1 harp. Bookings close November 6th and numbers are limited.
The course is suitable for individuals aged 16 and above; those under 16 with musical experience are also welcome but must be accompanied by an adult throughout the entire session.
By the conclusion of the morning , you will be amazed at the number of tunes you will be able to play. We will explore simple rounds, popular carols and even some well-known Christmas classics, including Silent Night and Good King Wenceslas
