Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens is pleased to present a program on Ikebana, the centuries-old tradition of Japanese flower arrangement. Attendees will gain insight into the philosophy behind Ikebana, including the use of line, space, and seasonal materials to create arrangements that reflect both simplicity and depth. This special event will feature a presentation by Mieko Fujimoto, esteemed president of the Cleveland Chapter of Ikebana International and an accomplished instructor with the Ikenobo Ikebana Society. Mrs. Fujimoto brings decades of experience and a deep reverence for the traditions of Ikebana. The cost of this class will be $45 and includes all materials and a take home arrangement. Class size will be limited to the first 16 paid registrations. To register and pay please stop in the Shop in the Gardens or call the Davis Center desk at 330-740-7116 and ask to be transferred to the Shop. The Shop is open Tues-Sat 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday Noon to 5 p.m.
