About this Event
On a day when we remember especially those who gave their lives in the two world wars and in subsequent conflicts, join us on a walk through Southampton’s streets to explore the city’s vital role in WWII, from building warships and aeroplanes, to serving as a major military port and its key part in the 1944 D-Day landings. Experience what life was like for those living in Southampton, including visits to some of the city’s medieval vaults turned air raid shelter, along with stories of life after the arrival of the Americans.
