Durham Conservation Commission, Parks & Recreation, andthe Land Stewardship Sub Committee are offering monthly guided walks for Oyster River community members to get to know our local trails and ecosystems!
Participation is FREE and all ages are welcome!
Full Moon Walk: Join a wildlife expert for a guided night walk by headlamp at Oyster River Forest. The group will be on the lookout for native owls while exploring the property.
Where to Meet:
The parking area and kiosk on the corner of Mill Rd and Packers Falls Rd.
DIRECTIONS: From downtown Durham, take Mill Road all the way to the end (approximately 2.5 miles). Turn right onto Packers Falls Road. The trailhead parking lot is immediately to your right. A connector trail leads from the kiosk to an entrance gate, which leads to the Oyster River Forest and Spruce Hole Bog trail network.
