Immerse yourself in the beauty of Chinese calligraphy, one of the oldest and most respected art forms in China. This session offers a gentle introduction to the fascinating world of Chinese characters, many of which are inspired by images from nature.
In this workshop, you will:
Discover the origins and evolution of Chinese pictographic writing.
Practise traditional brush and ink techniques to write simple and beautiful characters.
Create your own calligraphic artwork to take home.
Experience the tranquillity and focus of calligraphy while learning how to express balance and grace through brush movement.
All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is needed – just bring curiosity and an open mind!
