Please join Schweiger Ranch, Community Connections, and Douglas County archaeologists as we explore history and archaeology at Schweiger Ranch! This is a free event where parents and children can learn about the history of the Schweiger family, those who came before the western settlers, and how archaeology is used to learn about and understand how people lived in the past!Registration is not required for this event and the event is more of an open house format beginning at 9am and ending at 11am. There will be learning stations such as history of Schweiger Ranch, artifacts found on the ranch and around Douglas County, and the station where children can participate in a mock dig. Oh, and don't forget to visit the Schweiger Ranch goats and chickens!
