In May of 1962 a plane went down over the towns of Centerville, Iowa and Unionville, Missouri. This event spread fear amongst the towns and airline passengers alike. Author of the book Disaster at 39,000 Feet, Enfys McMurray, will be at the museum to discuss her book and the lasting effects the disaster had on the two towns. Come join us for McMurry’s talk at the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum on Saturday, March 1st at 11am.
