About this Event

The 2023 Disabled Poets Prize Awardees will be announced at this event, screened in Deptford Lounge, and available to tune into from anywhere as a livestream.

Join us for the announcement of the national Prize for deaf and disabled poets prize-winners and highly commended poets in the inaugural Disabled Poets Prize. With a range of voices, styles, and approaches, celebrate the talents and successes of writers from deaf and disabled communities.

With two categories - best single poem and best unpublished pamphlet, the winners will read from their prizewinning work. This will be followed by a brief discussion about the support and change in the industry necessary to create the conditions for other deaf and disabled writers to be able to succeed.

The Prizes for best single poem and best unpublished pamphlet will be announced by Jamie, and prize-winners from across the UK will read from their work. This is a don't miss event!
