About this Event
We are delighted to invite the public to join us at the Disability Guide for Employers launch!
In a recent report by the Work Foundation, it was noted that just 52.7% of disabled people are in employment, compared to 81% of non-disabled people.
This event will launch the Disability Guide for Employers, created by the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter - in partnership with Breakthrough UK and more specifically their panel of d/Deaf and disabled people. The guide is intended to provide employers with good practice advice on making the employment experience inclusive, equitable, and fulfilling for d/Deaf and disabled people and those with long-term health conditions.
It will cover top tips from the panel, and guidance on advertising roles, the interview process, team integration and more.
During the event, we will be joined by a panel of speakers, which will be followed by roundtable discussions related to the guide. At the end of the event, attendees will be able to network while enjoying the lunch provided.
