About this Event
This Disability Etiquette Talk is designed to foster understanding and inclusivity toward people with disabilities (PWDs). The talk will also offer practical tips on respectful and effective interaction with PWDs, including the use of appropriate language and addressing common misconceptions. Participants will leave with the tools to engage with PWDs in a way that promotes dignity and respect. A blindfolded obstacle course provides an experiential understanding of living with a disability.
About the organisation:
Established by SG Enable and partners as part of the Enabling Masterplan 2030, Enabling Services Hubs (ESHs) take a regional approach to bring community support services closer to the homes of persons with disabilities and their caregivers. This includes information and referral to relevant service providers, social and recreational activities, caregiver support and continual education and learning courses.
SG Enable has set up ESHs in Tampines and Punggol in partnership with SPD, as well as in Jurong in partnership with TOUCH Community Services.
