Gabriella (Ella) Gurney is a conservationist and sustainable fashion advocate based in Alexandria, VA. She is a conservation science writer and the founder and creative force behind secondhand vintage and fashion business Planty Girl Thrift. She has thrifted, given pop-up talks, and participated in vintage markets across Maine, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Ella is the former Science Communicator for the Appalachian Mountain Club and has been featured in Appalachia, Maine Policy Review, and Adirondack Explorer Magazine.
