Come on down to read your work, tell your jokes, bear your soul, all while accompanied by the coolest backing band since the invention of Ray-Bans. Open mic list is up at 8pm, show to kick off ~9 ; slots for first and second half, alongside a waiting list. Don't see room on the list? Talk to Nark and they'll see what they can do. Caroline Sims is an author, writer, and social worker living on Massachusetts' North Shore with her partner and dog. Her work explores perspectives on mortality, social justice, self-liberation, the natural world, and the tragic magic of relational connections. Caroline self-published her first chapbook, Whenever I Hear That Sound, in October 2024. Her work has been featured by MassPoetry and she has performed on WGBH's Outspoken Saturdays as well as local open mic nights including Voices in Power, Lynn Museum and Arts Center's Final Fridays, and Something Borrowed in Margate, England. She is most at peace observing the fauna in her garden, in the salt marshes near her home, and anywhere her dog is.
