Join us on Thursday April 3rd, 2025 for an engaging and informative workshop on sustainable trail building, where we’ll dive into best practices for creating and maintaining trails responsibly. This event includes a presentation with guest speakers from the Pemberton Valley Recreational Trails Working Group, offering valuable insights into the background of trail building, its impacts, and the principles behind sustainable design. It’s a great opportunity to learn what works, and why it matters!
After the workshop we’ll be showing the movie Dirt Relations.
“Dirt Relations” is an inspiring and thought-provoking documentary that delves into the powerful connection between mountain biking, reconciliation, and healing intergenerational trauma. Through captivating storytelling and breathtaking visuals, the film follows the journey of three individuals: Patrick, Thomas, and Tom, as they collaborate with Indigenous communities across British Columbia to build trails and empower Indigenous youth.
Everyone is welcome to this free event, but registration is required. Please RSVP here: https://pembertonlibrary.ca/event/dirt-relations-screening-sustainable-trail-building-workshop/
