Contra Proudly Presents: Accept's legendary vocalist Udo Dirkschneider is coming to BOOGALOO ZAGREB for the first time on the 25th February 2025 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic album *Balls to the Wall!
DIRKSCHNEIDER represents much more than just a second project alongside Udo Dirkschneider's band U.D.O. The group now preparing for a tour will pay homage to their legendary vocalist’s musical legacy. Udo was one of the main figures in Accept’s success story as a songwriter and founding member in the 1970s. The newest member of the U.D.O. / DIRKSCHNEIDER family bassist Peter Baltes also made significant contributions during the Accept era and together they created the *Balls to the Wall* album. The band’s stage presence completed by Sven Dirkschneider’s clockwork precision drumming and the talented guitar duo of Andrey Smirnov and Fabian “Dee” Dammers can aptly be described as “Balls to the Wall.”
It’s a fortunate coincidence that the 40th anniversary of Accept's best-selling and most well-known album released in late 1983 coincides with U.D.O. / DIRKSCHNEIDER's prime. Therefore DIRKSCHNEIDER is not just performing *Balls to the Wall* live; they are also thrilled to announce a European tour in the spring of 2025 to celebrate the delayed anniversary of the iconic album! Udo had this to say about these prestigious dates:“I am really looking forward to bringing my band Accept's ultimate success album back to the stage. Sharing the stage with Peter Baltes and performing *Balls to the Wall* in its entirety for all of you will be one of the most significant moments of my career.”
DIRKSCHNEIDER will add other surprises to the setlist alongside the 45-minute *Balls to the Wall*—featuring iconic tracks like the title song “London Leatherboys” “Love Child” and the closing ballad “Winterdreams”—and even bring it to the stage with a new production. Everything is set to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this milestone album and to make this tour unforgettable for every metalhead.
