Cineworks is pleased to present ????????? ????? ??????, an introductory workshop on making your own short, short film, led by filmmaker Tammy Tsang.

Ever wanted to write, direct, and/or produce a short film, but the competition has limitations on runtime, script page count, and/or shoot days! How will you ever get your magnum opus completed?! There's no way you could execute such a feat!?

Come stop by the ????????? ????? ?????? workshop and learn how to craft a compelling (micro) short film. Participants will dive into Tammy Tsang's 2-minute film, "Lauren In The Bathroom" which won the awards for Best Director, Best Screenplay, and People's Choice Best Performance in MAMM16's Ultra Short category. Take a peek at the documents, planning steps, and discussions which helped to shape and effectively execute the film to make it what it is.

Tammy Tsang is an emerging writer and filmmaker born and raised in Vancouver, BC who stems from a background in production as an Assistant Director. Having worked in the film industry since 2013, Tammy has worked her way up from a Production Assistant starting on Arctic Air S3 to a DGC BC 2nd AD member. She has worked in both worlds of features (“Miracle Season”, “Good Boys”, & “Night at the Museum 3”) and series (“So Help Me Todd” S1 & “Schmigadoon” S1).
When not working union shows, Tammy has written and produced a number of short films including: “Driving to You” (2013), “Rocking on Air” (2019), and “Lauren in the Bathroom” (2021) which screened at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival and won multiple awards in the Mighty Asian Moviemaking Marathon’s Ultra Short Category including Best Screenplay.
Recently moving into the screenwriting space, Tammy is a Pacific Screenwriting Program 2022 Scripted Series Lab alumni and was a recipient of the 2022 Rogers-BSO Film Development fund. Her writing room experiences include a AAA video game through The Coalition Studio and the development room for Indigenous series, “Hey Cuzzin'”.
