DATES: First module - September 29th to October 4th 2024.
Second Module - 12th-17th January 2025
VENUE: Karuna Dartmoor, TQ13 7TR
TUTORS: Maura Sills (Founder, Karuna Institute), Jilly Warrick and invited specialists.
COST: £3600 (with a deposit of £1000 payable upon acceptance on the course).
These fees are for the two 1-week residential courses and tutor support for six months post completion to meet HIPC Requirements and eligibility to join the HIPC Recognised Supervisor List.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Prerequisites
As this Course is designed to meet the HIPC, UKCP Supervision Requirements we ask for the following prerequisite. Candidates should be at least 3 Years Post Registration Practice or have a minimum of 600 Post Registration Client Hours. We welcome Colleagues who meet these Requirements from both UKCP and BACP.
The Training is intended for those colleagues who are UKCP Registrants wanting to be eligible to apply for the UKCP Directory of Recognised Supervisors, for those attending as a CPD (80 hours) and for colleagues who want to participate in this model of Contemplative Supervision developed at the Karuna Institute.
Course Participants will be introduced to and practice key concepts of Contemplative Supervision. You will be asked to engage in Small Group Active Supervision, Case Presentation and Contemplative Practices. We will engage in collective enquiry into territories that include EDI including all Protected Categories, Safeguarding, Climate Crisis and Outdoor Practice, Pandemic, Spiritual Crisis and Gender Fluidity, Neurodiveristy to name some.
We will invite colleagues from different traditions to input on the above and other themes and offer the opportunity to experience Small Group Supervision with some of them. We will also invite Core Process Supervisors to offer Contemplative Small Group Supervision.
The Training is held residentially at Karuna Dartmoor, offering us the opportunity to resource, eat good food, dance, walk on Dartmoor, look at the stars and enjoy the companionship of colleagues. A chance, for us as a community, to both deepen into the mystery and tap into our collective wisdom.
Course Assessment Requirements
A 3000 word Case Study, Supervisor Report, 40 hours Supervision Practice, 20 hours Supervision of Supervision ( 10 from Course ) 1000 word Self Assessment.
Applications will be welcomed from practitioners with 3 year‘s post UKCP Accreditation or 600 hours professional experience.They will be accepted on receipt of a short letter of application and the financial deposit.
