About this Event
New to seaweeds and wanting to learn a bit more ? Wild Eye is excited to bring you this family friendly session which is perfect for dipping into the world of seaweed, and a great chance to be able to identify the common species found here along the east coast.
We will also be learning about the Big Seaweed Search Survey! Learn how to carry out this simple survey and submit results to contribute to the vital work being done by the Natural History Museum and MCS in monitoring the health and state of our coastlines across the UK.
- Families welcome! Children must have their own tickets and be supervised by an adult at all times.
- We recommend wearing wellies or shoes you don't mind getting wet! Shoes must be worn due to the sharp rocks underfoot.
The meeting point is outside Scarborough Spa, from there we will walk down to the beach where will have our induction before starting the session.
