Families are in for a prehistoric treat this Halloween season at the San Juan College Geology Museum. On Thursday, October 30, from 5 to 8 p.m., the museum will transform into a dino-themed celebration filled with games, activities and spooky fun for all ages. Best of all, admission is free. This year’s party will feature a special guest who is sure to steal the show: “Mr. Bones” (Tim), an interactive paleo-puppeteer whose creations have been seen at the Smithsonian Museum. Featuring a juvenile T-Rex puppet and realistic dinosaur head replicas, Mr. Bones gives kids the chance to step into the role of a dinosaur themselves.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Guests can enjoy face painting from the San Juan College Cosmetology Department, try their luck at dinosaur-themed games and dig deep at the gem and mineral station to uncover hidden treasures. And of course, no Halloween party would be complete without plenty of trick-or-treating.
The Halloween Party at the Geology Museum promises an evening of discovery, laughter and fun for the whole community. Costumes are encouraged, and children and adults alike will find something to enjoy.
