About this Event
Here in the US, you can just about throw a rock and hit a Bible. There's one in every hotel room and hospital. It's influenced our laws and customs, and it's engraved on our national monuments. For centuries, the Bible has guided us along the way, shown us truth, and described the way we should live.
But much more than that, God's Word has revealed to us the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Jesus Christ, and the hope and redemption found only in Him.
Because we've had God's Word in English for centuries, and we live daily with its impact both spiritually and culturally, it's easy to become like the fish who can't see the water, and take what we have for granted.
What we have we owe entirely to the work of men like John Wycliffe and William Tyndale, whose lives work and passion was simply to have the Scriptures available for every man, woman, and child. To that end, they and many others made immense sacrifice of their lives, some even to martyrdom.
Millions still need their Wycliffes and Tyndales!
Some of those Wycliffes and Tyndales are on the field, doing the work of language acquisition and translation, planting churches, and discipling believers.
But many more are working behind the scenes, providing vital support to those on the field.
That's where we need more help!
As translation efforts expand and increase, more support is needed in areas such as IT, HR, project management, administration, accounting, counseling, and many more. Many of these roles can be filled remotely, part-time, by skilled individuals who have a passion for Christ to be known among the nations and want to give more than just financial support.
The opportunity is great, and the stakes are high. Please join us to learn more about what's been done, what's left to do, and how you can be a part of bringing God's Word to every language in this generation!
"We often define missionaries as a certain type of person such as an evangelist or a translator. But there is a lot of work behind the scenes to make those things happen. There is a role for everyone to be a part of reaching the world with the gospel.”
— ERIK LOFGREN, CRISIS MANAGEMENT TEAM LEADER
"Being able to creatively pique interest in the work Wycliffe is doing is a reward in itself! Being at Wycliffe is an impactful and fulfilling experience that I find myself loving as I continue to grow spiritually and skillfully!”
— MICHELLE CLINE, GRAPHIC DESIGNER
"Having worked in corporate America for over 20 years ... it’s been refreshing to be able to work in an environment where the person comes first. We see each other as children of God. [My team likes] to say that we serve at Wycliffe, not work at Wycliffe, because serving comes first.”
— JACKIE LEBRON, SENIOR DIRECTOR OF TOTAL REWARDS
"Because of their multicultural experience, life experience, and education, [these students] are going to be leaders who are bridging different culture groups. … The kids that I teach will not just blend in and not make waves. They will be influential. It's a big legacy.”
— DONNA SMITH, TEACHER
"God has made His Word come alive to me. And when His Word comes alive in the depths of a person, it produces lasting transformation. Through my role with computers, I am able to take part in bringing God’s life-giving Word to others in their own languages.”
— JAMES POST, LANGUAGE TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT
