It's challenging to summarize the accomplishments of Chef Ivan Orkin in a paragraph. A native New Yorker who received his a degree in Japanese and at the famed Culinary Institute of America, Chef Orkin opened Ivan Ramen in 2007, bringing his love of ramen back home. In 2013, Orkin published a vivid story of his experiences as an owner of a revered Tokyo ramen shop (among other stories) in Ivan Ramen: Love, Obsession, and Recipes from Tokyo's Most Unlikely Noodle Joint . At Ivan Ramen, guests can enjoy his decadent Triple Pork Triple Garlic Mazemen or take a lighter route with his flavorful bowls of Tokyo Shoyu (soy sauce flavor) or Tokyo Shio (salt flavor).
