Get those little fingers inky in Huddersfield! Come along on Thursday mornings (during term time) for a relaxed session with your child. Enjoy getting creative and inky while trying out different printing skills designed for very young children!
Each week we will have a different children’s story which will be read at the end of the session. We will explore different printmaking processes based on the stories and get those dinky fingers inky.
Our focus story for this session will be:
Alan’s Big Scary Teeth
Stamp colourful scales, Brush Alans chompers with paint, print claws and learn why Alan is such a scary Alligator!
Brush Alan’s teeth! - print with tooth brushes and colour in Alan’s teeth
Scaley prints – have fun stamping scales in different colour
Alligators claws – print your own hands and give them claws
Dinky Inkers is a creative inky print session and story session for preschool children aged 2+, that explores different print processes each week. There’s also time for parents and carer's to enjoy a hot drink and have a look at our current exhibition.
There is no charge for the sessions but we do greatly appreciate donations for our 'pay what you feel' sessions, as they enable us to sustain these valuable community programmes.
(Tea and coffee is available to purchase during the session and a cosy corner is set up with soft rugs, cosy cushions and baby changing facilities nearby so you can dip in and out of the activity as you want to).
