Join the Sunrise Optimists at the 70th & Van Dorn Runza Restaurant anytime between 5 and 8 pm on Wednesday November 19. A portion of all drive-thru and dine-in proceeds will be donated to the club's youth activities fund! Our goal is to offer additional opportunities for success to Lincoln's youth. Among the activities we've supported are the essay, oratorical, and Academic Decathlon competitions; the Nebraska Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing; the Homer's Heroes 6-week baseball program for special needs youth, Punt Pass & Kick, Pitch Hit & Run, and Optimist International Junior Golf athletic events; plus a middle school Student of the Week recognition program; and helping to develop the Optimist Youth Sports Complex in SW Lincoln.
