Offers instruction in the use of a SLR digital camera and fundamentals of digital photography. Topics include image composition, digital camera techniques in various formats including raw, GIF, JPEG, and PNG, digital processing using Adobe Photoshop and digital printing. Students will learn how to manually operate a digital camera, taking control of aperture settings, shutter speeds, and iso controls. Students will learn how various lenses effect the depth of field and image quality of an exposure. Students must provide their own digital single lens reflex camera. Runs in conjunction with the credit class. ***Estimated cost of textbooks: $50.***
