Unearth the past at MOX! This event is part of The Council for British Archaeology's Festival of Archaeology.
About this Event

Inspired by the theme "Archaeology and Wellbeing", the Museum of Oxford invites you to complete five archaeological themed activities inspired by the five ways to wellbeing. Activities include creating a Saxon bracelet, object handling and a gallery trail. This event is part of The Council for British Archaeology's Festival of Archaeology.

There are two sessions throughout the day: 10.30-12.00 and 13.00-14.30. You are able to drop in and out of the session you have selected. You may not need the entire time to complete all the activities. Last entry to your session will be 30 minutes before the end of the time slot.

This workshop is suitable for children aged 5-11. Children must be supervised at all times by a parent or carer. One child ticket includes free admission for one accompanying adult. Please ensure all children have their own ticket. Additional adults will need to buy their own ticket.

Tickets cost £1.50 and can be purchased online via Eventbrite (booking fee applies) or at the Museum Shop. We recommend booking in advance to secure your place.

Sales from tickets help support our work to deliver fun and accessible family activities, community engagement projects, schools workshops, exhibitions and special events for Oxford’s people in our Museum spaces.

Access:

There is step-free, level entry access to the Town Hall via the entrance closest to Carfax Tower (to the left of the main steps as you face the Town Hall). Inside the Museum, Museum Makers is accessible via a platform lift to the Galleries and then a lift to the basement.
