About this Event
With small garden spaces, it’s best to think about “outdoor rooms” and, much like interior design, first think about the way you want to use and enjoy the space. Consider how elements of color, hardscape, furniture, shade, sun, water, fire and light fit and interact with the plants we choose. Knowing the right plant for the right place is essential to creating the ideal space to bring more success and enjoyment to how you live outside.
Learning Objectives
- Learn about unique characteristics of the Sonoran Desert environment and how they affect our design and planting choices.
- Learn how to see your space as an "outdoor room" to design and decorate much like you would with interior design.
- Explore ideas using colors, textures, sun exposure and a combination of hard and soft elements to create beautiful outdoor spaces.
- Discover some of the best desert plants to help create the kind of beauty and style you envision in your outdoors.
