Xeriscape does not mean no plants, in fact Xeriscaping is the practice of designing landscapes to reduce or eliminate the need for irrigation.
In this class you will learn that using good design and maintenance practices and by simply choosing plants that are well adapted to the desert climate, gardening here will suddenly become a lot easier and more ecologically sound.

Speaker: Master Gardener Carol Stuttard
Master Gardener Carol Stuttard is one of Arizona’s most knowledgeable gardeners. She teaches landscaping and vegetable gardening extensively across the Valley for organizations such as Mesa Community College, Desert Botanical Garden, and Valley Permaculture Alliance. Her classes are fun, entertaining, and loaded with valuable information, tips, and tricks. She manages the community garden at Scottsdale Community College and has been featured in Phoenix Home & Garden Magazine, wrote a gardening column for McCormick Ranch Magazine from 2010-2015, and has made appearances on PBS and Channel 8, Scottsdale for her gardening knowledge.
