This class will help you create your own edible landscape and vegetable abundance! Michele will review best practices for creating a healthy garden, which plants do well at what times of year in our county, how to start your own plants from seed and be successful. Whether you are a new gardener or experienced there will be fresh learnings about growing your own food.

Speaker: Master Gardener Michele McGuinness
Michele McGuinness, a Maricopa Master Gardener, is an avid gardener who keeps experimenting with new varieties and which are successful for self-seed starting in this area. She gets lots of chances to get it right throughout the year as she gardens in four season both in Fountain Hills, the high country of Arizona and manages a school production garden on the Yavapai reservation. She loves working in the garden and introducing children and adults to the joy of dirt and miracle of growing. She has been teaching in a variety of settings since 1980.
The DIG Classes are returning to in-person classes on location at the Maricopa County Cooperative Extension Office at 4341 E Broadway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85040, along with keeping many of our online classes. Walk-ins are welcome, but space at the Extension Office is limited so early registration is recommended.
