Speaker: Master Gardener Besty Hollingsworth
After retiring as a law professor, Betsy wanted to take up gardening but had not inherited her mother’s green thumb. To gain a better understanding of gardening principles, she applied for and was accepted into a Master Gardener training course group, and in 2021, she became a certified Master Gardener. Other than supervising the landscapers who tend to her yard, she gardens exclusively in containers. She loves to teach and has presented on this topic at the Home and Garden Show in Phoenix. She has also served as a co-mentor for two Master Gardener training groups. She is a “budding” poet and has amused her training group participants with lots of gardening limericks, haiku, and poems. She will probably include a few in this presentation.
