Formed in 2015 in the heart of the Midwest roots scene in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Dig Deep came together around a shared love of traditional bluegrass and country, a deep appreciation for rock and roll, and years of hard-earned experience playing punk and metal shows, barrooms, roadhouses, and regional festivals. That mix of backgrounds quickly shaped a sound that was familiar but hit harder and moved faster than anything around them.
After three releases and more than 600 shows, Dig Deep has carved out a place as a truly distinctive force in the roots world. Their songs reflect equal parts craft and grit, pairing strong songwriting with relentless musicianship, while their live shows are loud, fast, and unapologetically high-energy—delivering far more than a typical string band experience.
