About this Workshop
You’ve got the energy, desire, and gift to make people laugh, but there’s more to it! Participants in this workshop will learn the deeper aspects of what makes a good teen improviser excellent. Young improvisers will engage in scenework, discussions, games, and exercises designed to unleash their excellent improviser.
Experience Level
Best for improvisers and stage performers ages 13-18 with a year or more of stage experience.
About the Instructor
Mark is a BATS School of Improv graduate, former coach/company member who’s taught and performed at such improv festivals as the Teen Comedy Festival in Chicago, The New York Musical Improv Festival, and the San Francisco Improv Festival. Mark is the founder and 17-year director of the award-winning teen improv troupe Creatures of Impulse. Mark is currently a company member with Improv Playhouse San Francisco, has been onstage with Un-Scripted Theater Company, How We First Met, and more. Mark currently teaches improv with The City of Dublin, California High School, T.E.A.M. Theatre, SPARC Livermore, and independently.
