DID THAT FLOAT FOR YOU? (DTFFY?) is PMP's newest event series that provides guests with an opportunity to engage in an interactive discussion a bout poetry. In real time, immediately after each Poet's performance.
You should expect the same authentic PMP experience but with a twist. Poets will have time to perform on stage but unlike our usual showcases, the audience will be able to turn and talk immediately after to discuss the performance in real time. Our approach will be intentional and intimate and with that we hope that we spark creativity inside the room and provide individuals with a safe space to ask their questions and bounce thoughts off of one another.
In an effort to build more community within our OWN communities we've decide to partner with BLACKS IN TECH . The Blacks In Technology Foundation is the largest community of Black people in the technology industry. Through community-focused activities, events and outreach, The Blacks In Technology (BIT) Foundation is “Stomping the Divide” by establishing a blueprint of world-class technical excellence and innovation by providing resources, guidance, networking, and opportunities for members to share their expertise and advance their careers.
poetry me, please is a community content hub and event series that provides a stage for Spoken-Word Poets across the world to showcase their talents.
We are the largest poetry platform in NY averaging over 400 guests per show. We host shows on a monthly basis with several residencies across NYC. Our community includes over 2000+ poets across the US and the UK.
What makes our community model so unique is how support is built into the program. Each randomly selected poet is provided with not only a platform to showcase their gift but high-quality content to help build their portfolio and grow their audience.
