What is Elimination Communication (EC)?
EC is the practice of learning when a baby needs to pee or poop and offering a potty or toilet instead of a diaper. Babies are born with instincts to not soil themselves and will readily eliminate into a potty if given the chance.
Before disposable diapers and the commercial push to delay potty training, EC was the norm. It is still practiced all over the world due to cultural preference or limited access to diapers.
EC is a natural and gentle method of communication between parent and child. It is not messy if you use a diaper backup and can be practiced part-time.

Chelsea has over 10 years of teaching experience and over 8 years of parenting experience. She successfully used EC and cloth diapers with all three of her babies and has helped countless others do so as well.
