About this Event
Come to join us with some cool cello contemporary music by all Canadian composers (half are BC composers) at intimate Murray Adaskin Salon.
Yiyang Xue is currently a doctoral cello student at University of British Columbia, she is an artist residency at Canadian Music Center in this season. In this concert, she will play with two wonderful Vancouver musicians--- Vivian Kwok, piano and Yueyi Liu, Percussion for cello duets with piano and vibraphone.
The first half of programs featuring cello solo works by Murray Adaskin, Dorothy Chang, Melissa Hui and Alice Ho. The second half of programs featuring cello & vibraphone works by Jocelyn Morlock, Linda Catlin Smith and very beautiful cello sonata by Jean Coulthard. Also, this is very special event, in memories of Murray Adaskin and Jocelyn Morlock, their music are always in our heart.
