About the speaker - Dr. Rose Dicovitsky, VMD, DACVIM (Oncology)
Dr. Rose Dicovitsky grew up in southern California and earned a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, where she also played Division I volleyball. She received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania and performed a rotating internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. She completed her residency in medical oncology at the University of Minnesota and became board-certified.
Her favorite part of this specialty is the ability to form relationships with pets and their families. From personal experience, she knows that a cancer diagnosis in a pet can be very emotional. Navigating this situation requires a trusting relationship between the family and the oncologist - she looks forward to forming this partnership with more families in Los Angeles. Her goals are to provide families more time with their beloved bet, but most importantly, to provide a good quality of life for as long as possible.
