Through interactive presentations and case-study discussions with a variety of experts, we cover the newest approaches to diabetes management. Our goal is to update your understanding of the complexities of diabetes care, and have you learn effective approaches to educate those affected by diabetes.
We will cover the latest Diabetes Canada Clinical Practice Guidelines.
This course is not specifically designed as preparation for the Canadian CDE examination, however it will serve as an excellent review in your preparation to become a Certified Diabetes Educator.

What are the dates and times for the course?
The course runs Monday-Wednesday, November 22-24, 2021. Registration opens at 08:00 on Monday. The course begins each day at 08:00. We adjourn at 17:00 on Monday, at 19:30 on Tuesday (after the dinner and evening speaker presentation), and at 13:00 on Wednesday.
Is there education credit for the course?
The Diabetes Educator Course is eligible for credit toward your Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Maintenance Credit Portfolio. For detailed information, please visit the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board website at cdecb.ca.
Is there a special hotel rate for attendees?
The Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Airport has set aside a limited number of rooms at special rates: $139+tax for single/double, $149+tax for triple, and $159+tax for quad. Please book online or call the hotel directly for reservations on +1.800.565.5769, and mention “Kinghooper Diabetes Education rate”. Parking is available on-site for $20+tax/day, and there is a free 24-hour shuttle to and from the airport.
Is my registration transferrable?
No, registrations cannot be transferred.
What happens if I need to cancel?
You can cancel prior to October 29, with a $50+GST cancellation fee. There are no refunds after October 29.
