DIA Free Shuttle Bus for Ages 55+

PLEASE NOTE:

• We must have a minimum of 25 riders to host this event. Contact Mary Howard in person, by calling 313-481-1704 or by email to secure your seat.

• All attendees must be from Wayne, Oakland or Macomb Counties.
• Attendees will receive free bus transportation to and from the Detroit Institute of Arts, originating and ending at the Douglass Branch.

• This bus departs at 12:30 sharp from the Douglass Branch and leaves at 3:00 sharp from the DIA. Attendees will need to make sure they have enough time to meet these deadlines.

DIA visit details:

This service is provided by the DIA free of charge as a millage benefit for tri-county (Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb) residents and includes museum admission, bus transportation, and a guided tour. Please note, there is no outside food or beverage in the museum. You can purchase lunch or a beverage at Café DIA or Kresge Court. Also, you will receive a coupon for a free cup of regular, decaf coffee or tea and one free cookie to be redeemed in Café DIA and a 10% coupon for the DIA Gift Shop.

Museum Experience(s):

· 12:30 pm – Pick-up Time

· 1:00 pm – Estimated Arrival Time

· 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm – Highlights Tour

· 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Self-Guided Visit

· 3:00 pm - Departure

Visitor Entrance and Bag Policies

· No backpacks of any size, backpack-style child carriers, briefcases, laptop bags, outside tote bags, or luggage

· For the protection of the art, nothing may be carried on the back, or over or atop the shoulders, in the museum.

· No water bottles or food or drinks are permitted in the museum
