Qué es el Día de Muertos?
Es una celebración llena de vida, color y amor, donde recordamos con alegría a nuestros seres queridos que ya no están físicamente con nosotros. No es un día de tristeza, sino de honra y recuerdo, donde creamos altares decorados con cempasúchil, velas, fotos y objetos especiales para dar la bienvenida a sus espíritus.
Nos recuerda que el amor nunca muere y que nuestros antepasados siempre caminan a nuestro lado.
Qué habra en el festival?
- Comida de parte de Tako Party, Aromas Durango, y de la Tropicana y su Tropimovil!
- Música en vivo y presentaciones culturales
- Juegos y actividades para toda la familia
- Recursos comunitarios y vendedores locales

You’re Invited to the First Family Día de Muertos Festival! In partnership with St. Adalbert and St. Casimir Parishes, we’re bringing this beautiful tradition to our community.
When?
Saturday, November 1st from 12 PM – 5 PM

St. Casimir Parish – 1302 W Dunham St, South Bend, IN 46619
What is Día de Muertos?
It’s a vibrant, heartfelt celebration full of life, color, and love, where we joyfully remember our loved ones who are no longer with us. This is not a day of sadness rather a time of honor and remembrance, where families create altars (altares) decorated with marigolds (cempasúchil), candles, photos, and meaningful items to welcome the spirits of those we love.
It reminds us that love never dies, and that our ancestors still walk beside us.
What can you expect at the festival?
- Delicious food from Tako Party, Aromas Durango, and La Tropicana’s Tropimovil!
