Led by the charismatic vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Suika T, the band blends electro cumbia, Latin rhythms, and hip-hop with elements of funk, reggae, and dancehall. Their unique sound and undeniable groove have captivated audiences worldwide. Joining Suika T is the talented Roberto Pomart, aka Thunder Lump, whose basslines provide the funky foundation. Ty Smith's dynamic drumming adds a Latin flair with unexpected twists and turns. Lucio La Rüa, Suika T's longtime collaborator, contributes soulful vocals, strings, and percussion, enhancing the magical vibes of the band. Brishen Dale Giesele, a seasoned guitarist with nearly two decades of experience, brings his psychedelic cumbia style and Western influence to the mix. Debajito is a Chico, California-based band that's breaking down musical boundaries. Their sound, rooted in hip-hop, seamlessly incorporates elements of diverse world music genres, including cumbia, reggae, rumba, ska, salsa, afrobeats, dancehall, Andean music, and more. This genre-bending approach creates a unique, danceable, and energetic live experience. Formed in 2021, Debajito quickly gained a following with their backyard boogies, bringing together people from all walks of life. The band's members hail from Chile, Mexico, Peru, and the United States, reflecting the multicultural influences that shape their music. Debajito takes listeners on a musical journey throughout the Americas and the Caribbean, delivering infectious rhythms and uplifting vibes.
