Kick off your Day of the Dead festivities with a celebratory bilingual story time at the Pendleton Public Library.After we read a couple of stories, we will have a pair of craft activities including a sugar skill mask coloring station and a marigold garland station.
What is "Dia de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead)?
The Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican holiday where the souls of those passed on can briefly return to visit their living relatives. Shrines of offerings, ofrendas, are put together to help lead them back for the day as the living share stories and reminisce about all of the good memories spent with them.
