Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a beautiful Mexican tradition that honors the lives of loved ones who have passed. Rooted in both Indigenous and Catholic beliefs, it celebrates the idea that death is not an end, but a continuation, a time when the memories of those we love live on through stories, food, music, and shared remembrance.Families create colorful altars (ofrendas) decorated with photos, candles, flowers, and favorite foods of those who have passed, inviting their spirits to join in celebration.
As a funeral home, we are deeply connected to the sacred work of remembrance. Hosting this event allows us to honor not only those we’ve served but the broader community’s loved ones; celebrating lives, sharing stories, and embracing the joy and color of this timeless tradition. We believe that healing begins in remembrance, and this night is our way to bring comfort and connection through culture and compassion.
Come and Enjoy; Live music and traditional Mexican Folk dancers,
A community altar (ofrenda) honoring loved ones, Craft activities for all ages, Food trucks featuring authentic cuisine, A Catholic priest blessing of the altar during the event.
