Bring your fiercest, colorful lewks, the most winsome expressions and be ready to DANCE at the legendary OASIS SF!
With the continued support of Impulse SF, we are creating a space for South Asian LGBTQ+ folks along with allies to express our culture through dance and art as a celebration of "US.”
Partial proceeds will go to Parivar Bay Area - America’s only Transgender-led, Transgender-centering South Asian organization.
The event is FREE for all trans and gender-non confirming folks. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. (‘Contact Event Organizer' button on Eventbrite page at the bottom will help get on the guest list).
Tickets will be $25 at the door on the day of the event.

About the cast:
- Bringing the best dance floor energy to parties all desi parties and weddings, he's is gonna make us sweat!
- Usually seen spontaneously dancing in public spaces, on a go-go box or on his Instagram, this marks Nikhil's official stage debut as a performer. A recent re-transplant to the city, he may seem like a familiar face either as a former chairperson of Trikone Bay Area or as Mr. April 2020 on the bare chest calendar. His debut is sure to tantalize!
- Monica enjoys both traditional and contemporary dance forms ranging from Raas to Hip Hop and everything in between. She has produced and directed numerous international talent competitions and entertainment shows. Monica co-founded Bollywood Touch, a full-service South Asian Entertainment company specializing in providing dance, live music, and more for a variety of events nationally. Her moves will move you!
- software engineer by profession and dance instructor by passion. Dance has always been Yash's emotional and creative vent. He's been dancing since he was a kid and got certified in Bollywood fitness and Zumba fitness. He loves to teach dancing and express himyself through music. He's excited to present an enthralling number for Dhoom!
(they/them) - a queer desi drag artist based in Oakland. Since childhood, Preity has studied various forms of dance. A budding desi drag star, they wish to entertain and remind people that the hottest girl in the world is a desi girl!
(he/they) - San Francisco based performing artist, singer, lyricist and dancer - Miraaj, is bringing a live performance of his first and very new single Ritual with a debut tour in March all over San Francisco ending the run with the final show at this event. Miraaj also conceptualized and helped produce the first DHOOM event in Oct 2022!
(he/him) - a San Francisco/unceded Ohlone territory-based teacher, activist, and artist. Sanjay believes that we can & must imagine a safer, more creative, kinder society for ourselves and future generations. He recognizes the importance of centering our Trans* and BIPOC siblings in the fight for justice, since justice for the most marginalized means justice for us all.
(he/him) - A sexy aunty and insatiable dancer. Bay Area raised and San Francisco ripened. Dedicated to creating spaces that South Asian Queer people want to go to.
- Jewelry and trinkets by Farah Akhtar will spark your desire to accessorize.
- Taking a mad scientist/librarian’s approach, Sorek has been studying a little of everything in the realm of esoterica for over a decade. They have been doing readings for others since 2019 with an astrological practice that seeks to marry time-tested structures with rebellious new approaches to technique. their occult knowledge is complemented by their interests in art, media, math, mythology, physics, psychology, sociology, human sexuality, linguistics, and literature.
