🌿🌞 Summertime FOMO Plant Swap & Sale 🌞🌿What do you do when you schedule your events at the start of the year... only to find out, for the second event in a row, it's on the same day as another major event? 😅
Can’t make it to Plant Con this year? No worries, neither can we! We're bringing the plant party to YOU—those who are staying local—with our Summertime FOMO Plant Swap & Sale. 🌿✨
It's time for our 2nd event of our 3rd year with our quarterly plant swap with North Haven Gardens! Our next event won't be until the fall!
This is a free and family friendly event. This event will be held in the classroom indoors, so we will be there rain or shine (only cancelled if its under 32 degrees outside), and protected from the Texas weather. Please, do NOT walk through the Cafe to come in or out of the swap with your items. You are welcome to visit the shop/cafe but we ask that you do not take your plants and other items through and use the back door to the classroom for entry/exit.
We will have a free raffle, so make sure you get your ticket and your name tag when you arrive. You must be present to win. You don't even have to bring plants to swap to attend the event!
If you attended our last event, Glitch Garden, you know how amazing it was and we can't wait to commiserate with all of you stuck here in town with us!
Fitzgerald Tropicals will be in the greenhouse from 10am to 12pm, too!!!
📍 Tips for plant swap
💰Make sure you label and price your plants! Things run MUCH smoother when you have a visible price on your plant. It prevents people from having to ask you repeatedly what the trade value is. You can always negotiate but trust me, just put a value on it for folks to see
👋Please write your name and cell number on your box (or your plants). Typically, you will want to walk around and check out other people's plants so having this visible is awesome bc people know who's plants they're looking at- and they can text you OR yell your name (I am totally known to do this lol)
🏆 Please be careful handling other people's plants. Respect others' property and handle them with care bc these dudes can be delicate and causing damage to other people's plant is not cool.
⛔️ Disclose ANY and ALL previous pest problems or any other details someone may need or want to know. If this is a cutting, share that info! Did it have spider mites last month? You better say something lol. You catch my drift 😉
📣📣 If you are NOT vendor listed, please do not set up shop at the swap tables with more than 10 items 🙏
ALSO- PLEASE treat and inspect ALL of your plants before bringing them. The last thing ANYONE wants is the awful gift of pests. If there is visible damage or if anyone sees pests, you may be asked to remove your plants from the space immediately. We want to protect our plants AND North Haven Garden's plants, as well. Thank you for your understanding!
We want this to be FUN but we also want to make sure we are considerate.
Please be aware of people's personal space. We want to make sure that we are aware of our friends that are immunocompromised or that may want a little bit more personal space than some of us are used to. Let's be kind and understanding to each other
🖤 Lastly, if you are sick or have been exposed to any viruses, we ask that you stay home and join us for the next event.
Please help us respect the businesses wishes as to not bring any outside food into the classroom and to keep things cleaner than when we arrived. Thank you for always making this event amazing!
